Laura operates a small horse rescue in northern California called Shilo's Inn, and her story wouldnt be complete without mentioning that she was the person chosen by Shilo to be an ambassador on behalf of equines worldwide (see About Shilo).
Michele Lamelin
Co-Director & Graphic Production
A childhood love of all creatures great and small led Michele to lifelong
activism. In addition to more than 15 years of graphic design experience
(with a focus on working with non-profit groups), she has held positions
with The Animals Voice and Lynx Educational Fund for Animal
Welfare.
Currently, along with her work as a graphic designer, Michele runs EquineLuv, a horsemanship program where students learn to interact with and care for
horses in a way that honors the equine spirit, with a focus on
communication, respect and true understanding. Michele, her husband Rick,
and son Shayne share their lives with 4 horses, 2 dogs, a bunny, a hamster
and several birds — all rescues. Michele will never turn away an animal in
need!
